Preparedness

A holistic approach of process and people aspects is at most important for strengthening the preparedness posture and raising the maturity level. To reduce cyber risk, the asset owner and operator needs to conduct comprehensive, timely assessment of threats, identify vulnerabilities and analysis of the impacts to prioritize the mitigations. Continuous monitoring of the systems, practices and potential threats helps operators maintain situational awareness of the risk environment and plan for mitigation for larger impact.

The key challenges are the increase in sophistication cyber-attacks on the growing attack surface, data in motion security & specialized expertise.  The need felt for a program covering the information sharing and situational awareness enhancement, tool development for information sharing, tools for strengthening risk management & process reducing the supply chain vulnerabilities & risk.
