The Aerospace Research Students’ Symposium (AERES) was organized from Jan 3 to Jan 6, 2024. It provided a platform for MTech and PhD students in the department to showcase their research. Throughout the week-long event, attendees were enthralled by presentations unveiling the latest projects, offering a glimpse into the future of aerospace technology.

Beyond its academic focus, AERES fostered invaluable industry connections through workshops and keynote speeches. Distinguished figures such as Dr. Bijukumar K. S. from ISRO, Shri. Atul Dinkar Rane from BrahMos Aerospace, and Shri. Swapnil Jain from Ather Energy shared their insights, shaping discussions on the future of aerospace technology and entrepreneurship. Furthermore, Dr. Ajit V. Bhide and Prof. S. N. Omkar provided thought-provoking insights into mental well-being in academia, adding depth to the symposium’s discourse. Concluding on a vibrant note, the event showcased the diverse talents of the IISc community through a captivating cultural performance by the Geetanjali Group.
